Jaguar is an elegant brand of Jaguar Land Rover; a British Car manufacturing company founded in 1922 by Sir William Lyon and William Walmsley. The company was initially named SS Car’s Limited but later changed its name to Jaguar Cars Limited. Jaguar has produced some of the fastest and most iconic cars in history. Since the introduction of the first model, the brand has been loved all over the world.
Jaguar Mark 2
The Jaguar Mark 2 is a four- door, mid-size executive saloon produced between the year 1959 to 1967. Also known as the Jaguar 3.8 sedan in the US market. It was created to be an improvement on the Mark 1. It featured bigger windows, slimmer door pillars, and better suspension that the Mark1.
Although there are so many similarities between the two cars when driven, it is a different story entirely. The car was known to be a top choice for detectives and car-racing action movies. After being tested by the Motor Magazine in 1961, the 3.4-litre engine version had a top speed of 119.9mph and an acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in about 12 seconds.
The Jaguar XK model is a two-seater grand touring convertible manufactured by Jaguars car from between 1996 and 2014. The XJX, which was the first generation of the model was produced to replace the XJS and was available as a convertible or coupe. The second generation which featured an aluminum body and available as a two door convertible and two door coupe were produced in 2006. The model has a sleek appearance to back it’s performance up. It initially came with a 290- hp 4.0 liters V8, but by the time it was discontinued in 2014, it was available with a 550 – hp 5.0 liters V8 engine.
The Jaguar D-type is a sports racing car produced by Jaguar between 1954 to 1957. The model shared a lot of similarities with C-type, but its structure was different. The structure was exquisite and different at the time because it used aeronautical technology. The first production of the model was sold in 2008 for more than 2 million pounds at an auction in Bonhams. The D-type won the Le mans 24hour race in 1955, 1956 and 1957.
Produced and marketed by Jaguars cars from 2001 and 2009. It is the smallest of the Jaguar models and was sold in saloon and estate variants. It got an upgrade that came with 2.2- liter diesel and a six-speed automatic transmission which was unveiled at 2007 canary wharf motor expo.
The model was a luxury grand tourer produced by Jaguar from 1975 to 1996. It was initially available as a coupe, but the convertible, and Targa model joined the lineup. XJ220 is an elegant two-seater supercar created from 1992 to around 1994 by Jaguar in collaboration with Tom Walkinshaw Racing; a race engineering and automotive company. It was considered to be the ultimate supercar of the early 1990s.
With a top speed of 217.1mph measure in the year 1993 by Jaguar. It held the record of the fastest speed ever attained by a production car in the Guinness Book of Records 1994 – 1999 issues. It came with a 3.5 liter v6 twin-turbocharged engine. However, it wasn’t just the fantastic performance that stands in out. This Jaguar E-type was a crowd-pleasing model produced between the year 1961 and the year 1975. The founder of Ferrari; Enzo Ferrari called this vehicle the most amazing car ever made.In 2004, the model was placed at number one position on the list of Sports Car International magazines.
The Daily Telegraph also ranked it as number one on the list of the most beautiful cars of all time. The Jaguar E-type was a mixture of beauty and high performance.
